Cool! I just got two new Honeywell stats about a month before the Nest was announced. I'm still very intrigued. Curious to see what you think of it after a few months.

I agree with Leo that you could scrap the italicized 'mission statement'.

If you would like to keep the Battleship Grey palette scheme, that is cool, maybe make the logo a deeper red, like scarlet with maybe some blue.

I love the software, you know this.

Cheers,

Leo,

Thank you for your comments. I never looked at the colors as a purple, more of a red, but I can see that. In my defense, I didn't lay out this color scheme, it was just a stock stylesheet from a Wordpress theme. I added the dark red buttons, charts, links etc from there.

Had a quick look at the welcome page of your main site. Didn't like the design at all.

Your strapline "What gets measured, gets improved" is a strong proposition which gives a clear idea of what you are about. BUT the italic font emasculates it and embedding it inside a block of darker grey means that it tends to disappear.

And now the bad news: I didn't like the color scheme at all. That purple doesn't remind me of Imperial Rome, it just looks like dried blood. I'd lost it in favor of the colors chosen for the Adaptifier logo.

In fact, using the shades from that logo throughout your site would provide a pleasing consistency to the site as a whole.

Apologies for frankness - but, as a Brit, it isn't often I get the chance to express an honest opinion (or to dip a toe into the unfamiliar waters of US orthography).

Best wishes,

SMART: specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time tested. that's what we are all held to in corporate america from a results perspective. This is what the mass majority of the population are critiqued and awarded bonus on. the funny thing is....the goals and objectives of corporate America per industry are rarely achieved in the same timeframe. yet, this method is producing SMART results. I'm impressed. I would give anything to have had a solid year of training with Kurt. Damn this new job.
