David,

Yeah that's right 30 minutes in the morning is all you need. And if you want to cut it more and have a dark green lawn, put down some high nitrogen fertilizer in the spring and again in the fall. And make sure you cut it short that last time you cut it in the fall so that it has a good start in the spring.

Best time to seed is the spring and fall when it's cool.

I wouldn't want you as a neighbor michael webster. The guy that installed my sprinklers told me 30 minutes in the morning and that worked allright for me. I guess if you do it in the morning it has a chance to dry out throughout the day which is ideal. All I know is my grass is really green and we haven't had rain in a couple weeks.

Buddy, you let the grass go brown and let it hibernate through droughts.

Don't water it , it brings the roots to the top and one good heat wave and all those roots will die - not brown, but black with death.

In the spring and fall, re-seed. As required.

Better idea would be to re-think how much grass you really want.

Prior to about 1930, nobody thought having grass meant squat. You really want to jump on that beggar your neighbour bandwagon?
