What a Bad Day Looks Like

Here’s what a crappy day looks like. Of the greens, I’m long one, no longer holding one, and am SHORT one. I need a drink.

It was a bad day all around but hey, that’s part of the game. Not quite year of 2000 days. If you’re holding sound companies you’ll be fine long term. It is hard to train yourself not to care on these kind of days though. Booze helps. So does exercise. Best of all, don’t look at your portfolio for a few days or even a week. These kind of choppy markets always work themselves out sooner or later. Reading “The Intelligent Investor” by Benjamin Graham (in particular the chapter about market fluctuations) is helpful in times like these.

Looking at the sector summary on google finance you are right on target with the rest of the world. Time to invest in some spirits… That always make me feel better.
